A Hymn

Father, cause me to follow

Though I may look like a fool

All that is weak and hollow

Is all that is apart from you

Take courage, My child,

Your sin’s forgiven you

Nothing you can say or do

This love is Truth.

Take my hand, O fire and flame

And burn away the chaff that rests

I am not, though all at once,

A part of Your own righteousness

Take courage, My child,

Your sin’s forgiven you

Nothing you can say or do

This love is Truth.

Lift my eyes upon Your throne,

Quickly cast them meekly down,

It is You who let the slaves go free

It is You who wears the crown

Take courage, My child,

Your sin’s forgiven you

Nothing you can say or do

This love is Truth.
